noelp.dev is the data controller for the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy.
Which personal data we process
Among others, we process the following personal data:
Contact and account details
- Name
- Email address
- Optionally: company name, job title, phone number
- Data you enter yourself in a form or email message
Browser and device data
- IP address
- Type of browser and operating system
- Language settings
- Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
When you submit the contact form, we additionally process: time zone, screen resolution and window size, configured browser languages, platform, number of processor cores, available device memory, whether the device has a touchscreen, and whether you use a light or dark display.
Usage statistics and website interactions
- Pages visited
- Click behaviour and navigation patterns
- Date and time of your visit
- Referrer URL (the page you arrived from)
This data may be collected through cookies and similar techniques.
Customer and administrative data (when you purchase services)
- Invoicing and payment details

This data also ends up in our accounting system and (where applicable) with our bookkeeper/accountant, because we are legally required to keep financial records.
We only process personal data that you provide to us yourself or that is collected automatically when you use our website.

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

When you purchase a service from us or request a quotation.
Consent
When you subscribe to, for example, a newsletter or agree to certain cookies (where applicable). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Legitimate interest

- Normal business operations (such as limited relationship management and basic statistics), provided your privacy interest does not outweigh this
Legal obligation
Retaining administrative and financial data in our accounting system for the Dutch Tax Authority (usually at least 7 years).
Contact form and email
If you fill in the contact form on our website or send us an email, we process the data you enter there, such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Optionally company name and phone number
- Your message or question
- IP address (for logging purposes)
Spam control without a captcha
To protect the contact form against automated messages we do not use a captcha, but a technical check that runs in your browser. In doing so we process:
- A result from the open source library FingerprintJS BotD, which indicates whether the submission appears to come from an automated browser. This library runs entirely on our own site and does not send any data to third parties.
- A browser characteristic (fingerprint), the technical browser and device data listed above, how long the form was open, and whether any keystrokes or mouse and touch movements occurred.
- The page you came from (referrer) and the language in which you viewed the site.
Based on this, a submission is given a score. Messages with a high score are set aside and not forwarded to our mailbox, but are kept so that we can still find and answer messages that were blocked in error. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form. There is no automated decision-making with legal effect: we review the set-aside messages ourselves.
We keep this data for as long as necessary to handle your question and for a limited period thereafter (for example up to a maximum of 6 months) in order to properly answer any follow-up questions and improve our services. If you become a customer, relevant data may also be included in the customer and project administration and the accounting system.
Sharing personal data with third parties
noelp.dev does not sell your personal data to third parties.
We only share your data with third parties where this is necessary for our services, our administration, or where we are legally obliged to do so. This may involve:
Service providers / processors
- Hosting provider(s) (website and email)
- Accounting system and, where applicable, a bookkeeper/accountant
- Email or newsletter service (if used)
- IT or support providers
Where necessary, we conclude data processing agreements with these parties, in which it is laid down that they:
- process your data solely on our behalf;
- take appropriate technical and organisational measures;
- do not use your data for their own purposes.
Legal authorities
For example the Dutch Tax Authority, investigative authorities or supervisory authorities, where we are legally obliged to do so.
Cookies and statistics
Our website may use cookies to:
- enable basic functionality (for example remembering your preferences);
- track how visitors use the website (statistics);
- improve the website.
You can limit or disable the placing of cookies via your browser settings. Please note that parts of the website may then function less well.
If we use tools such as Google Analytics:
- we conclude a data processing agreement with the provider;
- we limit the data as much as possible to what is needed for statistics;
- and we do not use the data to profile you personally.
Security of personal data
The security of your personal data is important to us. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as:
- using secure connections (HTTPS) where possible;
- limited access to systems and data (only for people who need it);
- strong passwords and, where possible, additional security measures;
- use of reliable hosting and accounting systems.
No system is 100% watertight, but we do what may reasonably be expected of a small (IT) business.
Retention periods
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
In practice:
- Contact and email correspondence: for as long as needed to handle your question and a limited period thereafter (e.g. max. 6–12 months), unless it becomes part of customer/project files.
- Customer and project data: for as long as the customer relationship continues and a reasonably necessary period thereafter.
- Accounting and invoicing data: at least 7 years (statutory tax retention obligation) in our accounting system.
- Log and technical data: as short as possible, unless needed for security or error analysis.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Right of access: knowing which personal data we process about you.
- Right to rectification: having inaccurate data corrected.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), insofar as this does not conflict with our statutory retention obligations.
- Right to restriction of processing.
- Right to data portability, where applicable.
- Right to object to certain processing, for example against direct marketing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent given (e.g. for newsletters or certain cookies).
To exercise your rights you can contact us via the contact details at the bottom of this statement. Please clearly state your name and which processing your request relates to. We may ask you to identify yourself to make sure we are helping the right person.
We aim to respond to your request within one month. If the request is complex, this period may be extended; in that case we will inform you.
